Winston Duke to voice Bruce Wayne on Batman podcast series


Tobago-born actor Winson Duke will voice Batman's Bruce Wayne on a new podcast series.

Duke, known famously for his role as M'baku in Black Panther, will voice star in Batman Unburied, the upcoming Spotify podcast from The Dark Knight screenwriter David S. Goyer.

Hollywood Reporter broke the news on Tuesday.

The podcast is described as a psychological thriller that dives into the mind of Bruce Wayne and features dark twists and classic Batman villains.

In addition to Duke, the only other actor revealed for the podcast is Harry Potter actor Jason Isaacs portraying Alfred, Batman’s trusty butler.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Duke posted: "Oh man... picking up the cape and sonically dawning the cowl! I’ve been so excited to share this one with u guys... A truly exciting take on a story we know and love. Thank you @spotify and @dccomics for bringing me into the fold on this one ... I AM BATMAN!!

Since starring in 2018’s Black Panther, Duke has starred in Jordan Peele’s Us (2019) and alongside Mak Wahlberg in Spenser Confidential (2020).

He is due to return to Marvel for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever after also appearing in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).

Duke will soon be seen in the supernatural drama Nine Days to be released on August 6.
