Up-and-coming recording artiste Vyzadon’s new single ‘Pull Up’ was released on the King Pigeon Riddim, produced by Canada-based label Rollin Dice Musiq.
The single has charmed the residence of Vyzadon’s hometown, Rema, and is gradually solidifying a fan base in Canada.
The ‘we a dominate the map’ lyricist credits the growing success of the dancehall track to a connection with disc jock, and long-time supporter, producer DJ Kemixx, in Canada.
Kemixx, who is an avid lover of dancehall music, showcased by his Cut & Clear online radio station, often swings tracks for the Pull Up artiste.
‘Kemixx was supporting my most recent single Gyal You Nah Fire — produced by G3K Music — when Rollin Dice reached out to him, and he expressed an interest in working with me.’
‘He gave me props for my lyrical composition and my flow and showed an appreciation for my craft’ said Vyzadon.
The ‘we ah dominate the map’ deejay describes Pull Up as a song about dominance, living your best life and gaining street cred.
Other artistes on the King Pigeon Riddim includes Kashmar, Dre X Sparta, Don Pree, J Gad, Chino Don, Hagaat, Nicheeko, and Narie — all handpicked in an effort to support young, innovative Jamaican talent.
‘The tracks on the riddim are all different but they all stand out in their own way. I feel [happy] to be recognised in my community for the song.’
‘To know that my following is increasing with people from Canada is even more rewarding’ he added.
Vyzadon who is inspired by the diversity of Reggae royalty Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley, and the persistence of international musician John Legend, pulled on cues from his idols for a recent performance on OnStage TV’s YouTube channel ‘The Mixer’.
He performed amongst Sizzla and Agent Sasco and received an overwhelming response from fans during the live-streamed event.
Also, over in the Great White North, viewers of the Canada-based reality series Dancehall Divas may have recognized Vyzadon’s Unfriend Yuh single in an episode of the much-talked-about show.
The next step for Vyzadon is to shoot the music video for Pull Up and kick-starting his promotional runs throughout the holiday season.
