Majah Hype, popular comedian and impersonator of Caribbean people, has been hospitalised.
While the reason for his hospitalisation has not been revealed, it is suspected that the comedian has the COVID-19 virus.
Majah Hype posted a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed with a mask and the caption: “Life can be so real....pray for me y’all!.
The photo drew thousands of responses with his celebrity friends from all over the region and the United States offering prayers and well-wishes.
Hailing from Brooklyn, Majah Hype has made his name in the West Indian community around the world with his uncanny talent for impersonating Caribbean accents and mimicking the unique personality traits of people from each island.
Known only by his first name Nigel, he has successfully disguised his heritage for years.
A certified electrician who worked in the subway system, Majah’s fame began after he was laid off from his job and, with free time on his hands, started doing the videos for fun for his friends on Instagram.
