Lawgiver is 'The Kingson From Kingston'

A devoted Rastafarian who shares the same birth date as the late Emperor Haile Selassie I, reggae singer Lawgiver is channeling inspiration from 'HIM' into his new EP, 'The Kingson from Kingston'.

Set to be released January 7, 2021, the seven-track EP reflects Lawgiver's diverse catalogue - reggae, roots, culture, dancehall and afrobeats with some soul.

"This EP has been in the works for over a year and has just been finalized. This EP has horns from the great Dean Fraser, bass by Owen "bassy" Rennals, Gammy winning producers Cleveland "Clevie" Browne and the Sly and Robbie duo," Lawgiver said.

LawGiver, born Oneil Phoenix, added: "I was born in Kingston on the 23 of July, sharing the same earthstrong as H.I.M. and embracing the Rastafari faith led to the EP title The Kingson from Kingston."

A prolific writer, the artiste said he is writing songs everyday and plans to release an album within the next year and a half.

The Kingson from Kingston will be available for download and streaming on all digital platforms, such as ITunes, Amazon, Deezer, Tidal, Bandcamp, Spotify, just to name a few.
